The Lagos State University approved Academic Calendar provide new and returning  students with the list of activities that will take place through out the the academic year. Lagos State University Academic Calendar for First Semester

The school academic calendar for 2025/2026 session as released by the school management is presented below.

  • Monday, 15th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025: Registration for new students (3 weeks).
  • Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025: Resumption and registration for returning students, alongside the commencement of lectures for both new and returning students (11 weeks).
  • Monday, 22nd December 2025 – Friday, 2nd January 2026: End-of-year break (2 weeks).
  • Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026: Revision and late registration (with a penalty fee of ₦5,000) (1 week).
  • Monday, 12th January – Friday, 6th February 2026: Examinations (4 weeks).
  • Monday, 9th February – Friday, 20th February 2026: Grading and uploading of results (2 weeks).
  •  Monday, 23rd February – Friday, 27th February 2026: Departmental and Faculty consideration, uploading of corrections, ICT processing of results, collation, and Senate meeting for the approval of results (1 week).

Key dates to keep in Mind for First Semester

  • Monday, 15th September – Friday, 19th December 2025: Resumption and registration for new and returning students, alongside the commencement of lectures for both new and returning students (14 weeks).
  • Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026: Revision and late registration (with a penalty fee of ₦5,000) (1 week).

Summary: New students will spend a total of 24 weeks in the first semester while returning students will spend a total of 21 weeks.

  • From Monday, 2nd March to Friday, 22nd May 2026: This is for Resumption, registration and lectures for new and returning students (12 weeks).
  • Monday, 25th May – Friday, 5th June 2026: Examinations (4 weeks).
  • Monday, 6th July 2026: End-of-session break commences.
