The approved University of Uyo (UNIUYO) official academic functions are shown below:
- November 03, 2025: Commencement of the First Semester for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 sessions.
- November 03 – November 21, 2025: Registration without penalty (3 weeks).
- November 24 – December 05, 2025: Late registration with penalty (2 weeks).
- November 03 – December 12, 2025: Lectures for undergraduate and postgraduate students (6 weeks).
- December 15 – December 19, 2025: Orientation for new students.
- December 22, 2025 – January 02, 2026: Christmas break (2 weeks).
- January 05 – February 13, 2026: Continuation of lectures for all students after the Christmas break (6 weeks).
- February 16 – February 20, 2026: Revision exercise for the First Semester examinations.
- February 23 – March 06, 2026: First Semester examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students (2 weeks).
- March 09 – March 20, 2026: First Semester holidays for all students (2 weeks).
Second Semester Academic Calendar
The Second semester academic and administrative activities are as follows for UNIUYO students:
- March 23, 2026: Commencement of the Second Semester for both sessions.
- March 23 – April 10, 2026: Registration without penalty (3 weeks).
- April 13 – April 24, 2026: Registration with penalty (2 weeks).
- March 23 – June 12, 2026: Lectures for undergraduate and postgraduate students (12 weeks).
- June 15 – June 19, 2026: Students’ Union Week.
- June 22 – June 26, 2026: Revision period for Second Semester examinations.
- June 29 – July 10, 2026:Second Semester examinations (2 weeks).
- July 13 – August 21, 2026: Long vacation period – Retake and Amnesty Examinations.
