The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has released the official merit list showing the names of students offered Provisional admission into the University to take up their tertiary academic task. To check your AKSU Admission status at JAMB Portal, keep reading.

Yes, The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session has been released and can be accessed through the AKSU and JAMB CAPS.

Admitted Candidates have 4 just weeks to accept the offer of admission. Those without their registered phone numbers are to visit a JAMB accredited centre to Accept or Reject.

With your profile in JAMB e-facility portal, you can check whether you have be admitted into Akwa Ibom State University or not. The following steps will get you through the process:

  1. Visit official JAMB Website: Go to JAMB Portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
  2. Input Login details:  Fill in your JAMB profile username and password and proceed.
  3. Navigate Admission Status‘ tab: Locate and select your Exam year, fill your registration number as required and finally click  to Check your Admission Status.

What your Status Means on JAMB CAPS

While checking your admission status, the following messages will appear, kindly know what they stand for:

  1. Admission Offered: A big Congratulations to you! You have been admitted. Try as much as possible to accept or reject the offer on the JAMB portal.
  2. Admission in Progress (AIP): It shows that your school has recommended you for admission while JAMB is still processing for final approval.
  3. Recommended: You are eligible and your details have been sent to JAMB for review and possible approval.
  4. Not Admitted: At this point your application is yet to be approved, or the list is still being updated.
  5. Pending: It shows your admission application is under consideration. It is advisable to check back.

Accept or Reject the offer

It is very important for all newly admitted students to visit the JAMB website to accept or either reject the admission offer as soon as possible.

If you have been offered admission, proceed to Accept or Reject the admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 through the Phone number linked to your JAMB profile.

Printing of Original JAMB Admission Letter

The JAMB original admission letter is another important document that will be very useful till NYSC mobilization. If you haven’t gotten your original print out of your admission letter, hurry now and get it.

Visit the JAMB Portal, login and navigate to Results menu and print the original letter of admission.
