TECH-U General Admission Requirements
In addition to departmental entry requirements, the First Technical University Ibadan has the following general admission requirements:
1.UTME (100 Level):
- In addition to acceptable passes in UTME, candidates must obtain credit level passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) final year examination or West African School Certificate (WASC)/GCE ‘0’ Level in at least five subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry. In addition to the general admission requirements stated above, a candidate must meet specific programme requirements
- Candidates must not be less than 16 years old.
- Candidates must have sat for JAMB and score up to the current required TECH-U Cut off mark.
2.Direct Entry (DE):
- For Direct Entry to programmes in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, candidates must have passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at GCE ‘A’ level or equivalent. Holders of OND and HND at minimum of upper credit level are eligible for consideration for admission into 200- and 300- levels respectively. For the programmes in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, candidates must have passes (Graded A-E) at the GCE Advanced Level in at least two relevant subjects.
