UNIUYO Admission List 2026/2027: Check University of Uyo Admission Status

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session is taking place. Candidates who applied for admission via UTME or Direct Entry are advised to check the university’s admission portal and also the JAMB CAPS portal for update on their admission status.

The university has announced the start of the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for students who selected the university as their first-choice institution of higher learning. The University of Uyo stated a minimum UTME score of 150 for UTME candidates who applied to the university.

UNIUYO Admission List 2026/2027 Latest Update

Admission processing has started for the 2026/2027 session and current admission reports indicate that UNIUYO candidates are starting to see admission decisions on JAMB CAPS, even though the official news page of the University of Uyo does not currently have an announcement for a 2026/2027 Main UTME/Direct Entry admission-list release.

Therefore candidates should be relying on their individual JAMB CAPS status and also the official UNIUYO portal as opposed to using screenshots, social-media information, or unofficial admission lists.

The JAMB’s CAPS system enables institutions to process admissions, and it also allows candidates to view their admission status and accept or reject an admission offer.

Has UNIUYO Released the 2026 Admission List?

The admission offers for the 2026/2027 cycle are being processed through JAMB CAPS and current education-sector reports from September 2026 indicate that UNIUYO candidates can check their admission status on CAPS.

However, one must distinguish between the presentation of an admission offer on JAMB CAPS as opposed to the separate release of an admission-list on the UNIUYO website.

The best ways to verify your admission status is to check:

• JAMB CAPS for the official admission attached to your JAMB profile.
• The UNIUYO admission-status portal if applicable.
• The official UNIUYO website for subsequent admission announcements.

UNIUYO’s ePortal currently provides an Admission Status option.

How to Check UNIUYO Admission Status 2026

Candidates can check their University of Uyo admission status through the UNIUYO ePortal when the status is available.

The university has previously instructed candidates to:

1. Visit the official UNIUYO ePortal.
2. Select Admission Status.
3. Enter the required JAMB registration details.
4. Select Check Status.
5. View the admission decision displayed.
6. Print the admission notification where the portal provides the option.

UNIUYO’s official ePortal currently lists Admission Status among its available services.

How to Check UNIUYO Admission on JAMB CAPS

JAMB CAPS is an important part of the admission process because tertiary institutions process admissions through the system.

To check:

1. Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal.
2. Log in with your JAMB credentials.
3. Select Check Admission Status.
4. Select Access my CAPS.
5. Open Admission Status.
6. Check whether UNIUYO has offered you admission.

If an admission offer appears, follow the instructions provided by JAMB to accept or reject the offer.

JAMB explains that CAPS enables candidates to check their admission status and confirm provisional admissions.

Understanding Your UNIUYO Admission Status

Your JAMB CAPS response indicates the current stage of your admission.

• Admission Offered: You have received an admission offer through the JAMB admission process. Follow JAMB’s instructions to accept the offer.
• Admission in Progress: Your admission processing has not reached its final stage. Continue checking CAPS for an updated decision.
• Recommended: The institution has recommended you for admission, but the process may still require further approval before the admission becomes final.
• Not Admitted: No admission offer has been recorded for you at the time you checked. This does not necessarily mean that you should stop monitoring your status while the admission exercise remains active.
• Pending: Your application is still undergoing processing.

Candidates should always consider the status currently displayed on their official JAMB profile rather than relying on another person’s screenshot or admission status.

UNIUYO First, Second and Supplementary Admission Lists

UNIUYO may process admissions in stages as candidates are considered for available places in different programmes.

Candidates should not assume that a website’s reference to a first batch, second batch or supplementary list is an official UNIUYO announcement unless it can be verified through the university or JAMB.

JAMB’s CAPS system supports admission processing in batches, making it possible for candidates’ admission decisions to appear at different times.

If your status is still pending or you have not been admitted, continue checking the official channels while the admission exercise is ongoing.

What to Do After Being Admitted to UNIUYO

Candidates who receive a UNIUYO admission offer should:

1. Check the admission details carefully.
2. Accept the offer through the appropriate JAMB process.
3. Print the JAMB admission letter when available.
4. Monitor UNIUYO’s official portal for registration and screening instructions.
5. Complete any required university registration or acceptance procedures.
6. Keep copies of payment receipts, admission documents and other registration records.

UNIUYO’s undergraduate admission information states that admission into its bachelor’s degree programmes is conducted through JAMB, with UTME, Direct Entry and other approved routes subject to the university’s requirements.

What to Do If You Have Not Been Admitted

If your UNIUYO admission status does not yet show an offer, avoid paying anyone who claims to have the ability to change your admission status.

Instead:

• Check JAMB CAPS regularly.
• Check the UNIUYO admission portal.
• Confirm that your JAMB details are correct.
• Monitor official UNIUYO announcements.
• Keep your original academic and application documents available.
• Wait for subsequent admission processing if the exercise is still ongoing.

A candidate should not regard an unofficial list or message as proof of admission.

UNIUYO Admission List for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates

UNIUYO’s undergraduate admission process covers both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

For the 2026/2027 screening exercise, the university invited UTME candidates who selected UNIUYO as their first choice and had a minimum UTME score of 150. Direct Entry candidates who selected UNIUYO as their first choice were also invited to participate in the screening exercise.

The university’s general undergraduate admission information also identifies UTME and Direct Entry as routes into its bachelor’s degree programmes.

Meeting the screening eligibility requirement does not by itself constitute an admission offer. Candidates must still satisfy the applicable programme and admission requirements.

How to Avoid Fake UNIUYO Admission Updates

Admission seekers should be particularly careful with unofficial claims about UNIUYO admission.

Do not:

• Pay an individual who promises to secure admission.
• Give your JAMB password to another person.
• Treat a WhatsApp message as an official admission notice.
• Download admission documents from suspicious websites.
• Pay money simply because someone claims your name is on a special list.

Verify important information through UNIUYO and JAMB. The official UNIUYO website provides admission information and links to its admission services, while JAMB CAPS provides the central admission-status system.

Frequently Asked Questions About UNIUYO Admission List 2026

Is the UNIUYO admission list for 2026/2027 out?

Admission processing is underway and current September 2026 reports suggest that admission status has been made available for a few UNIUYO candidates through JAMB CAPS but they must check directly on JAMB and the UNIUYO portal rather than relying on some unofficial source for the list.

How do I check my UNIUYO admission status?

Check your status at JAMB CAPS by logging into JAMB e-Facility, clicking on Check Admission Status then Opening Access my CAPS and Admission Status. You can also check the UNIUYO admission-status portal if it is available.

What is the minimum JAMB score for UNIUYO’s 2026/2027 screening?

UNIUYO’s official notice for 2026/2027 Post-UTME/Direct Entry candidates stated that a score of 150 or more in UTME by eligible candidates who selected the university as their first preference would qualify them for the screening exercise.

Does scoring 150 guarantee admission to UNIUYO?

No. The 150 score stated by UNIUYO was the eligibility score for applying for the screening exercise. Admissions are subject to the university’s screening date, procedure and the requirements of the specific programme for which the candidate has applied.

What does “Admission in Progress” mean?

It means that your admission has not met a final status on JAMB CAPS. Continue checking the account for other successive updates instead of assuming that your admission is final based solely on this status update.

What should I do if UNIUYO has not offered me admission?

Continue checking JAMB CAPS and the UNIUYO admission portal as long as the admission exercise is ongoing. Do not fall for the payment of an individual who claims to be able to secure or change your admission status.

Can Direct Entry candidates check UNIUYO admission status?

Yes. UNIUYO considers Direct Entry candidates in its undergraduate admission process and specifically mentioned them in its 2026/2027 screening exercise announcement.

Where should I get genuine UNIUYO admission updates?

Use the official website of the University of Uyo together with its admission portal and JAMB’s official platforms rather than blogs, social-media accounts and forwarded messages.
