The minimum Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) core required by the Federal University of Agriculture Zuru (FUAZ) is 140 and 160 and above for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates with the required cut off Mark are eligible to register for the FUAZ admission screening.

What that means is that only those that sat for the UTME and scored up to the fixed JAMB Score or more are qualified to participate in the post UTME Screening and will be considered for admission while those with low JAMB UTME score are are not eligible to register for the FUAZ Screening.

The school management of Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru (FUAZ) has outlined some specific requirements  based on the mode of entry for candidates. Below are the admission criteria for both UTME and Direct Entry applicants.

UTME Admission Requirements

• A minimum of  five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects with English Language and Mathematics included at maximum of two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
• Candidates’ JAMB subject combination must be correct and relevant to their course of study.
• Applicants must meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark set by FUAZ for their chosen course (Check the table for the actual cut-off marks)
• Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in the FUAZ Post-UTME screening exercise and obtain a satisfactory score.
• Only Candidates that are up to 16 years old will be eligible to applying.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements

• A minimum of  five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects with English Language and Mathematics included at maximum of two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
• A’Level or Equivalent: Candidates must possess either:
• Two (2) A’Level passes in relevant subjects.
• National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in a relevant field.
• IJMB or JUPEB results with the required points for admission into 200-level.
• NCE with Merit Pass in relevant subjects.
•  Candidates must register for JAMB Direct Entry and select FUAZ as their preferred institution.
•  Direct Entry candidates are also required to participate in a screening process conducted by the university.
