O’ Level Subjects Combination and UTME Requirements

The O’ level subject combination and eligibility requirements from students intending to study Chinese Studies  in Nigeria are as follows:

Candidates are required to possess a minimum of Five (5) credit passes in SSCE (NECO WASSCE or NABTEB) obtained in maximum of two sittings but some universities, depending on the courses might restrict it to only one sitting.

(i) For programme A, five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language and French.

(ii) For Programme B, credit passes in English Language and four (4) other subjects.

 Chinese Studies Requirements for Direct Entry (DE)

The following are the conditions Direct Entry (DE) candidates must fulfill to gain admission to study Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities or related faculties in Nigeria:

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE French for French programme.
  •  Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE in any subjects
