Abia State University, Uturu approved Academic Calendar has not been released but the school management had set Monday, 1st December 2025 as the resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session during the 284th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Tuesday, 18th November 2025. The ABSU 2025/2026 academic calendar provide details on the first and second semester academic activities.
The ABSU Approved Academic calendar is a full undergraduate timetable showing the list of academic and administrative activities for Abia State University. The events on the official academic calendar from ABSU website include, Resumption, Lecture weeks, Registration for new and returning students, Matriculation Ceremony, Test, Revision, Examinations, etc. These Schedule is applicable to all progrmmes.
ABSU First and Second Semester Academic Calendar
The approved 2025/2026 academic calendar for Abia State University is not yet out. The Senate of Abia State University has approved the resumption of students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The decision was reached during the 284th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. Acho Elendu, the session is scheduled to commence on Monday, 1st December 2025.
Patiently wait for the school management to release the official calendar for 2025/2026.
The Schedule for the Start of 2025/2026 Academic Session
The university released the following schedule for the start of the session:
- Monday, 1st December 2025: Arrival and Registration for New Students
- Saturday, 6th December 2025: Return and Registration for Returning Students
- Monday, 8th December 2025: Commencement of First Semester Lectures
- Friday, 12th December 2025: Orientation for New Students
- Friday, 19th December 2025: Christmas Break Begins
- Monday, 12th January 2026: Lectures Resume after Christmas Break
Important Information for all Students
The management emphasized that all students, both new and returning, must pay their fees and complete all registration formalities. Only bona fide students who have paid their fees and registered for their courses will be granted access to university facilities.
Students, parents, and guardians are advised to take note of the schedule and ensure strict compliance.
